World Dance Council (WDC) - organization that unites dance pedagogues and professional dancers of the world through their representation in national professional dancing organizations.

 

Currently under the World Dance Council there are:

  • More than 110 organizations from 61 country

  • 232’000 – Dancing Schools

  • 1’100’000 – Dancing Coaches and Pedagogues

  • 30’000’000 – All Age Groups People who go to Dancing Schools

  • 820’000 – Dancing Competitors for different directions

  • 20’000 – Competitions Held Annually Worldwide

Apart from that, World Dance Council has its name on the most prestigious world ballroom dancing competitions, such as:

  • Traditional and Oldest UK tournaments: UK Championships, Blackpool Festival and British Open Champonship, Internatinal Championship

  • Dutch Open

  • US Open

  • Asia Open

  • Italian Open

  • World Masters

In addition it has number of annual official competitions:

  • World Championship (Standard, Latin, 10 Dance, Classic Showdance, South-American Showdance)

  • European Championship (Standard, Latin, 10 Dance, Classic Showdance, South-American Showdance)
